Coming to the Sellersville Theatre on Saturday, November 23, 2024, for a 2 PM matinee show, are three incredibly talented songwriters;  Brent Moyer, Linda Zapf, and John Franklin aka Johnny Dock.  Prepare to be captivated as they take the stage for a split show performing their original songs.

Born at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, Pa, Brent Moyer’s earliest memories are listening to his neighbor give trumpet lessons at his home on Market Street in Perkasie.  He knew at an early age what he wanted to do, so at the tender age of 6, Brent started trumpet lessons.  All was going well until his family took a vacation out West to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and decided to move there.  It was in Jackson that Brent discovered his love for guitar and started writing songs.  It is also where he first met Linda Zapf and was mesmerized by her beautiful songs and voice.

Brent Moyer is a true artist, blending the timeless sounds of Heartland America with elements of Country, R&B, and Americana. His authentic and soulful style has earned him the privilege of sharing the stage with icons like Willie Nelson and Donna Summer and playing lead guitar for Lynn Anderson (Rose Garden). His Broadway role in „Ring of Fire,“ celebrating Johnny Cash’s legacy, and reputation as a producer and studio musician have enriched his musical journey. In 2018 Brent embarked on a unique adventure, traveling to Kyrgyzstan with the Western Trio to represent the United States at the World Nomad Games.  Truly, Brent Moyer is the Global Cowboy.  A proud alumnus of Berklee College of Music, Brent has released 9 CD’s on Brambus Records (www.brambus.com/brentmoyer) along with various independent projects.

Linda Zapf and John Franklin aka Lin & John; Their musical journey was destined from the moment they met during John’s very first voice lesson. He had a hunch that the person’s lesson before might have something special in store.  Indeed, Linda’s melodic voice that filled the air singing the Judy Collins classic, Someday Soon, left John in awe and their paths intertwined forever. They married and raised a family on their working farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, all the while pursuing their musical dream.

Long before the Sellersville Theatre was transformed into the vibrant hub of musical talent it is today, Lin and John played the modest stage of the Washington House. Their band, Coast to Coast, ignited the young hearts of those who packed the house.  One night Lin’s friend, Brent Moyer, made a surprise appearance at their gig. The reunion sparked an explosion of inspiration and collaboration

With a lifetime dedicated to music, they have written over 300 songs and produced 12 studio albums, 2 of which were made in Nashville under the guidance of Brent Moyer, Veil Of Time and Two Hearts.  They have shared the stage with esteemed artists such as Arlo Guthrie, Livingston Taylor, Jonathan Edwards, Steve Forbert and Susan Cowsill.  Together with Lin’s gifted voice and John’s rhythmic prowess, their stories – lyrically woven into the rhythm of the song creates a wave of emotion that leaves audiences inspired and yearning for more.
